Last updated: 28 July 2026 ยท Applies to the Maapit Android app
Maapit is a unit converter that runs entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising, and no analytics SDK in the app.
None. Maapit does not request any Android runtime permissions, does not read your contacts, location, files, camera, or device identifiers, and does not transmit data to any server.
The app saves your settings (theme, decimal places, digit grouping, default state for land units), your saved conversions, and your conversion history in local app storage that only Maapit can read. This data never leaves your phone, and it is excluded from Google cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling Maapit removes it permanently.
All conversion factors are bundled with the app, so every feature works offline. The app does not hold the INTERNET permission.
Maapit is a general-purpose tool suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
The app contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics libraries. Distribution through Google Play means Google may collect installation and crash information under its own policies; see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Traditional Indian units such as bigha, katha and guntha vary by state and by local practice. Maapit uses the commonly accepted local standard for each state and shows which standard it applied. Please verify figures with official records before using them for legal, land registration, or commercial purposes.
If this policy changes, the updated version ships with a new release of the app and is published at this address.
